Weapons seized in jajarkot

Jajarkot, Nov. 14: Jajarkot police has seized weapons from Raniban (forest) over Pipe of Khalanga- 8, the district headquarters. The police said six three-naught-three rifles hidden in a plastic sack were found in the jungle acting on a special tip-off.
Some 385 rounds of bullets of INSAS rifles were also confiscated, said CDO Chakrapani Pandey.  The arms were seized by a patrol led by DSP Chakra Bahadur Singh, said Pandey.
Nothing has been known about who had hidden the weapons; said Pandey and police suspect that other weapons too might have been hidden. Police had found 44 three naught three rifles and one two-inch mortar from the area two months ago.
The arms found eight km from the district headquarters just ahead of the election has added more suspicion.
