DHARAN, December 29: The team of pro Shiva Ram Shrestha won the title of the Surya Nepal Eastern Open Pro-Am title at the par-70 Nirvana Country Club Health and Golf Resort in Dharan on Saturday.Pro Shiva Ram was drawn with amateurs Gajendra Limbu, Mani Kumar Limbu and Raj Kumar Rai accumulating 157 points to win the trophy.
Nepal No 1 Shiva Ram scored two-under 68 earning 38 points, while his teammates Mani Kumar scored 40, Raj Kumar scored 37 and Gajendra scored 42 points. Shiva Ram received Rs 5,000, the amateurs in the team received trophies.
The team of pro Surya Prasad Sharma and amateurs DB Rai, Arjun Sunuwar and Purna Limbu earned a total of 151 points to finish second, while the team of pro Sabin Sapkota and amateurs Samyog Shahi, Ram Bahadur Tamang and Sumod Bastakoti accumulated 146 points to finish third. The second and third placed pros received Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000 respectively. The amateurs received trophies.
Gajendra Limbu (42) and Sushila Rai (34) produced the best cards to win the best individual trophies in men and women
