Kathmandu, 08 October/ Bishnu Bhandari won the Gokarna Annual Caddie Championship here at Gokarna Golf Club kathmandu. Bishnu scored five over 77 for a six -stroke victory over Shivaram Poudel who shot 11 over 83. Bishnu won a trophy and cash prize of Rs 11,000. Bishnu played 2 over -38 on the front nine and 3 over- 39 on the back nine.
Shivararam earned Rs 8000 for finishing second, he played five over – 41 on the front nine and six over-42 on the back nine. Both winner and runner -up received a trophy and gift hampers.
Amit Bogati finished third and earned Rs 6500. Umesh Poudel came fourth and earned cash prize of Rs 5500. Raju Thapa and Pradhunna Poudel were joint fifth and each received Rs 4400. Dharma Poudel, Krishna Murari Sapkota, Parsuram Chaulagai, and Devendra Pandey were joint seventh and each took home Rs 3000.
Pralad Khatri won longest drive award and pocketed Rs 1000, Pradhunna Poudel won closest to the pin to earn Rs 1000. In all 26 caddies took part in the tournament top 16 and ties earned cash prizes and rest received consolation prizes. Senior Golfers Himalaya SJB Rana, Lt. Gen (Retd) KNS Thapa and Vice President Dorjee Sherpa gave away the prizes to the winners.
