Through the provisions of Talenthunt , a program to search for talented, young and possible future cricketers was conducted in pokhara . In which about 100 youths showed up and participated to be tested .They spend the whole saturday showing their batting , bowling and fielding skills .
Among those 100 participants , 7 best participants were taken in for closed exam , according to the manager of Pokhara Rhinos Team , Sudin Manandar .
He added Mekh bahadur Sen , Prakash khanal , Bijay Bista , Dipak gurung , Kushal Malla , Suman Gurung and Dev Shah were selected and one player will get chance among the ones selected for close exam.
Considered Nepal’s biggest sport competition “Everest Premiere League ( EPL) ” will start from 4th of Poush to 16th of poush in Kathmandu . The selected players possessing special talent can participate in that league according to Shakti Gauchan , a player of Pokhara Rhinos .
Our national player Shakti Gauchan stated that the selected seven players will be kept on 14 day special observation and among them a player will get a chance to play in their team . He added this practice is important in making the base of cricket strong at local level
With the starting of Talenthunt program , Mayor of Pokharalekhnath Metropolotian City , Mr Maan Bahadur GC said, This type of programs and games are also vital in order to build international level stadiums in Pokhara city .
In the league which is going to be held in kathmandu , the teams from six big cities i.ePokhara , Kathmandu , Bhairawa , Birgunj , Lalitpur , Biratnagar and Lalitpur will be fighting for the trophy . In each team there will be 14 players involved and the players from other countries will also be included in various ratios in each team . There is a cash price of 21lakhs for the winner
