Constrution of a cable car service over Lakeside Pokhara to Sarangkot has started . This 1 billion project is being built by Annapurna Cable Car and is expected to be completed within two year .
When completed it will have 17 cars each and will be able to accomodate eight passengers in each . This cable line will be about 2.2 km long and after its completition it will help the tourists to get to the hill with great comfort . Local nepali residents have 10 percent share in this project whereas Nepalese developers and Japanese partners have 15 and 75 percents respectively .
While having a ride on the cable car, one can enjoy scenic view of Fewa Lake and Santi Stupa, and panoramic view of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains.
