Latest results of proportional election- NC on top

Kathmandu, Nov. 26- The Nepali Congress has maintained the lead so far in the vote counting under the proportional election system of the Constituent Assembly election held on November 19. The CPN (UML) is in the second position in terms of the number of votes secured so far under this system.
Result of vote counting of all the political parties participated in the proportional election system has been released. A total of 122 political parties had participated in the proportional election system.
The Nepali Congress is in the first position while the CPN (UML), UCPN (Maoist) and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP)-Nepal are in second, third and fourth position respectively, as per the result of the vote counting as of 7.38 pm provided by the Election Commission.
The NC has bagged 16,62,817 votes, the CPN (UML) 15,88,119 and the UCPN (Maoist) 9,78,324, according to EC.
Likewise, RPP-Nepal has obtained 4,23,981 votes, RPP 1,81,939, Madhesi Janadhikar Forum Nepal-(Democratic) 1,88,134 .
The Rastriya Janamukti Party, Nepal Pariwar Dal, Akhanda Nepal Party, Nepali Janata Dal and  Janajagaran Party Nepal have also recived some votes. All the 122 political parties participated in the proportional election system have obtained votes, said EC.The vote counting under the proportional election system is underway.
