January 7: Nepal’s leading tele-communication company Ncell has expanded its fourth generation (4G) service in two more cities – Lahan and Dhangadhi. The company is launching the high-speed mobile broadband in these cities from Sunday.
From Sunday all Ncell customers possessing 4G SIM (U-SIM) with 4G compatible handset in Lahan and Dhangadhi will be able to enjoy the 4G service and take benefits of opportunities it brings .
With this expansion, Ncell’s 4G coverage has now reached 21 cities and made the service accessible to over 15% population.
The company had launched 4G first in Kathmandu Valley including Nagarkot, Banepa and Dhulikhel on June 1, 2017. Ncell 4G is currently available in cities including Pokhara, Damauli, Biratnagar, Birtamode, Damak, Dharan, Bharatpur, Hetauda, Birjung, Bhairahawa, Butwal and Nepalgunj, Kohalpur and Birendranagar.
