Mount Kailash resort’s flag reaches Everest

The flag of Mount Kailash Resort of Pokhara has reached the peak of the world’s highest peak Everest. Experienced climber Gelji Sherpa has brought Mount Kailash Hotel’s flag to the peak of Mt Everest. Originally hailing from the district of Okhaldhunga, Mr Sherpa has successfully succeeded in climbing Sagarmatha 9 times.

In the morning of Jestha 2, Mr Gelji Sherpa (internationally renowned guide) Placed the flag at the peak of the mountain at about 7am. He gave the picture of the defining moment to the director of the resort, Mr Naresh Bhattarai at an event organised this Saturday. Mr Naresh Bhattarai thanked Sherpa for this feat and also mentioned that the grand resort had already got 3 different awards from abroad already and this achievement will add to the good.

Sherpa expressed happiness in placing the resort flag/logo on the top of the highest mountain in the world. He also mentioned that the way we look at the tourists who come for mountaineering and those who come for other purposes is different. He talked about the possibility of the rise in number of mountaineering tourists in the Gandaki region if some measures were taken.
