Dec 18: The draft to produce estimated cost of constructing Budhi Gandaki Hydro Power has been submitted to the government. A committee formed by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba was assigned to prepare the draft. The team submitted the report to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Kamal Thapa this Monday.
Earlier, Pushpa Kamal Dahal had signed this contract with the chinese company during his premiership but it was later dismissed by Deuba’s Government . After reassigning the contract to the Chinese company became one of the agendas of the Left Alliance during the election campaign, PM Deuba had formulated a committee to draft feasibility for national funding for the construction.
According to draft report estimation this mighty project is expected to cost at least 260 billion (rs) .
