KATHMANDU, Nov 17 /The Election Commission (EC) has allocated Rs. 33.1 million to ferry necessary election materials to all polling centers in a safe manner, and to reach ballot boxes to the district headquarters.
The EC said employees assigned at polling centers have already reached there, along with 68 types of election materials with security arrangement for election.
A total of 10,013 polling stations and 18,457 polling centers have been fixed for the CA election. Similarly, 215,000 employees and security personnel have been mobilized for the election.
Joint-Secretary at the EC, Maheshwor Neupane, said that Rs 33.1 million was allocated so far to take the election materials in polling centers and to bring the other election materials, including ballot boxes to the district headquarters, safely.
Employees and security personnel along with necessary election materials have reached the all voting centers of high-Himalayan districts, including Dolpa, Humla, Jumla, Manang and Mustang.
The government has made an arrangement for insurance of Rs 1.5 million to the each employee mobilized in CA election.
